Greetings!
My name is Bobbi Jo Epperson. I received my Master of Acupuncture and East Asian Bodywork education at the Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine (SIEAM). I am board certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Licensed through the Washington State Board of Health, and am certified through the National Acupuncture and Detox Association as a Detox Specialist for addictions and emotional trauma.
Part of my clinical educational experience at SIEAM was bringing acupuncture to people in the Seattle community. This included acupuncture for folks at Horizon House retirement home, Evergreen Drug Rehabilitation clinic, and the Asian Counseling and Referral Service. Through this experience, I truly gained a deeper understanding of how the medicine I was learning really benefited underserved populations.
I have seen acupuncture do wonderful things for folks with pain, stress, skin issues, range of motion limitations, compromised immunity, and so much more. I love putting the pieces together to find the best treatment specific to each person. Lately, I have been putting acupuncture's affinity to the parasympathetic system to good use by helping folks ground through troubling interpersonal, political and social stressors occurring in their lives. Acupuncture can be a great platform from which to process challenging currents that flow toward us as life swiftly moves along.
In addition to Chinese Medicine, I enjoy exploring nature, making art, and finding refuge in quiet contemplation. I have participated in several Arts Walks and Artist Garage Sales, as well as Duck the Malls. I am a strong supporter of building a lasting, healthy, and sustainable community. I love the Pacific Northwest and have lived in Olympia for over 15 years.
